Public education and Gunning Public School have built a proud tradition of serving the township of Gunning and the surrounding rural area for the last 150 years.
The school is set in spacious grounds and has excellent facilities with large classrooms, an assembly hall, specialist rooms for science, craft and music, as well as a parent operated canteen. We are a positive behaviour school.
Community support is valued and we aim for a partnership in education between students, teachers, parents and the broader community. Students are encouraged to strive towards achieving their maximum potential in a caring, stimulating environment.
Parents and members of the community are encouraged to become actively involved in the school through formal organisations such as the parents and citizens association or through working with the staff in the classrooms and on the sporting fields for the educational benefit of our children.
